Mayoral candidate Andrew Yang visits food bank lines in New York City.
I for one am truly grateful that @AndrewYang is finally spotlighting Asian poverty, something that has been invisiblized for far too long, and glad he has @rontkim with him continuously advocating for his constituents.
Thanks @AndrewYang for coming out to Flushing & seeing my community’s pain & suffering.
It’s time to confront the truth that poverty is result of policy failures and lack of political will. I look forward to working together to center solutions around folks closest to the pain.
Thank you for the support @rontkim and for representing my hometown with ferocity and compassion 🙏
OPINION: As we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., it is worth reflecting on his wholehearted advocacy for cash relief as a core way of delivering on his dream of economic and racial justice.

ABC7 with @billritter7: @AndrewYang says NYC must be the fastest city to rebuild from COVID, and will utilize a smartphone app that verifies vaccination to boost confidence in going out safely. This is how Broadway, sports, restaurants, and movie theaters can and will come back.
Proud to announce with @RitchieTorres at City Hall this morning my pledge that the city will only do business with banks that accept IDNYC. Undocumented and immigrant communities need to be able to open bank accounts. Right now they are preyed upon and paying too much.
Getting to hear from activists on Friday was enlightening and a privilege - they expressed a need to tackle everything holding back a community at once: jobs, cash, education, housing, physical and mental health, safety, purpose, connection. There were too many grieving mothers.
