There is no equal justice under law. Prosecutors say the riot’s “zip tie cuffs” guy planned to capture or kill... his own friends call him extreme. He was previously fired for making comments at work about killing people of a "particular religion or race." Yet he’s sent home???
I’m honored to be able to lend my voice to an author who so eloquently represents Black lives in her stories. Listen now to my narration of NAACP award winner & New York Times best-selling author @tayari's newest title on @audible_com, ‘Dispossession’
@itsgabrielleu Your performance literally moved me to tears. Even though I (obviously) knew what was coming, you had me in the palm of your hand. So beautiful. Thank you for your care and craft. 🙏🏾💕
Thank you thank you thank you for even trusting me with your words. 🖤🖤
How dare media pundits justify the Republicans not standing up for democracy out of fear of attribution. What?!
Black activists fight for democracy EVERY DAY knowing that it impacts our personal and professional lives. We risk our safety, our careers, livelihood and OUR LIVES!
Today’s #WCW is @TheRealCocoJ. Coco is a singer & actress, and at the age of 23 years old she has a mature, undeniable talent. Take notice! This young dynamo has the goods and she delivers. I wanna see her in everything! Thank you for being a ball of light.🙌🏾
I don’t want to hear these coup-supporting GOP talk about “blue lives” ever again.
They never cared about safety.
Never cared about “law & order.”
And certainly do not care for democracy.
They only care for power, & invited chaos in an effort seize it. They are unfit to serve.
'I am not a terrorist': Retired Navy SEAL, who says he wanted lawmakers "shaking in their shoes,'' speaks after Capitol siege - ABC News via @ABC -
Replying to @soledadobrien: [“I am not a terrorist”, says guy who goes on to say his real goal was to terrorize people. ]
To my colleagues in Congress - here’s a novel thought: instead of pledging allegiance to your donor class or a violent mob, why don’t you cast your vote based on the right thing to do?
You either defend ALL the people or you protect that mob. It’s really not that complicated.
The divisive, destructive criminal will go down in history as the first President to be impeached twice. His name and that of those who enabled him, will go down in infamy. I am grateful to the 10 House Republicans who put country over Party and urge GOP Senators to do the same.
